Love the woman. So sorry she is gone. I bet she’s whippin’ up fluffy eggs omelets for the Big Dude in His Grand Golden Kitchen for breakfast. If you do not already own one of her cookbooks, ask yourself “Why not?” Her passion and finesse are out done only by her love for wine! But as you read her cookbook she has these little excerpts of wit, wisdom and drive for excellent cuisine. Two of her books that I own and highly endorse are:

I also own a book written by Dory Greenspan which covers Child’s exchanges with notorious American bakers while she was hosting her PBS series, entitled Baking with Julia. This book has stunning pictures and the recipes have excellent naration. Each of the recipes I have made from this book have been raved about because of their presentation and amazing flavors. You can make focaccia, profiteroles, croissants, brioche, and biscotti, just for starters. If you love to bake, buy this book! It teaches technique, and if you have the finesse, your finished baked goods will make you look and feel like a pro!
